About
Stu and The Gurus is a seven-piece, original alt-rock band, based in Media, PA. Our music encompasses twangy Americana, classic rock, blues and quirky new wave. We play mostly originals, penned by our leader, singer/songwriter/harmonica player Stu Skaroff, and our renowned guitarist and musical director Millard Brown. We’ve released four albums, and our goal is always to delight, surprise, and warm the hearts of our audiences.
The Gurus produce a varied mix of exceptionally entertaining and well-played original music. In addition to Stu and Millard, our lineup includes Sinclair Brown on vocals, Pam Graboyes on percussion, Andy Duncan on bass, Charlie Kennedy on keyboards, and Mike Governa on drums. Stu and The Gurus perform in concert venues large and small, including The World Café Live, The Ardmore Music Hall, Steel City Coffeehouse and Brewery, and The Philadelphia Folk Festival.
