228 Presents: Dead Hot American Summer: Adult Prom at Soundbank!

August brings us 'round to the third installment of our somewhat-quarterly Adult Prom series, and this time 228 Productions is knocking you dead -- Gratefully-speaking, that is! Dress up, get down and dance the night away to a killer headlining set by Jason's Children, with a guest opener spot by 3rd-sday Showcase favorite Joe LaPree!

JASON'S CHILDREN is Glenside's Grateful Dead Tribute! This band of friends initially got together for fun on a random Friday the 13th and decided to form a seven-piece lineup similar to the mid/late 1970's era roster of the Grateful Dead. The band plays Grateful Dead selections as well as other classic and modern rock hits in the form of an Americana electric improv folk tradition. The band consists of Joe McCormick & Nick Scurria on drums, Rico Joseph on bass/vocals, Nicole Shipley on vocals, Jim Gannon on keyboards, Bernie Gillespie on rhythm guitar/vocals, Keith Galle on lead guitar/vocals. The group has been playing live shows locally since 2017.

JOE LAPREE (formerly Vinyl Side B) hones his distinctive vocal stylin's and guitar play in the Philly suburbs and beyond. His first studio album "The Passerby" is expected to be released later this summer. Keep updated through https://www.instagram.com/joelapreemusic/!
